Arbroath

The town is a fishing port in the picturesque county of Angus. It is steeped in history with Arbroath Abbey being the place where in 1320 the Declaration of Arbroath, also known as the Declaration of Independence was signed in the presence of Robert the Bruce. Arbroath is also famed internationally for its delicious smoked haddock, “Arbroath Smokies”.

There are many leisure facilities in Arbroath close to the centre, including swimming facilities just 10 minutes walk away, while the beach, cliffs, shops, parks and other public entertainment facilities are also within walking distance. The nearby West Links is a miniature childrens fun world beside the beach with exciting attractions such as trampolines, crazy golf, mini cars, paddling pool, Scotland’s oldest passenger carrying miniature railway and a road train.
